KOH SAMUI HASH HOUSE HARRIERS
Run Number 397 - 7th August 2010
HARE : JACK LEMON
Once again we have 31 hashers, not the same 31 as last week, they are all getting together and making sure we have the same number every week.
Anyway we are down near the snake farm in an A to B run. All set off in the same direction, some of us have to stay behind and move the trucks, well some of them.
The runners/walkers are off following lots of paper with a split at some point along the way then meeting up again. They have to end up on the old pier. Meanwhile the dedicated beer watchers are on the pier and watching the big dark clouds getting closer. GM reckons the rain is about 150 yards away, oops, its not, its here NOW.
At this point the runners should count themselves lucky, they have some shelter in the trees, we have to sit there in the horizontal rain and the trucks being blown all over the place, making sure the beer does not get blown away!!
The runners start coming back, boy are they wet and it is not just sweat this week. A good time later the rest of them start coming back. It is still raining but most of us persevere and wait for the rain to finish for us to be able to gather in the circle.
Finally this happens. Must say at this point there are not 31 hashers, some of them went home claiming they were cold!!
GM has the hare and the hash shit in the circle. Sorry B-liar but Jack Lemon laid a good run this week, well done.
VIRGINS yes we have a virgin present, well she is not really a virgin, she has been bringing two small people to the hash for years but decided to run this time. What a welcome to the hash!!! However she said she enjoyed it and will come back.
VISITORS quite a few of them this week from different hashes, including Juicy clam, Cow C..t, ET and some guy called Red Mullet. Yes they enjoyed the Samui hash and would like to come back again soon, we put on such special weather for them.
RETURNEES a couple of the normal reprobates who tried to escape our clutches but could not resist the lure of our weekly gathering.
LEAVERS yes they are leaving but we know they will be back. Why do they even try to get away???
Stewards are in next and find a lot of the hashers are at fault for various misdemeanours. Scribe at this point has no clue as to what they are in for but it must be serious!! We have the usual short cutting. Oh yes we have a couple doing a competition here, hmmm!!
Next steward is in and found even more SINNERS, is there anyone on this hash who does not sin. I don’t know what is this hash coming to.
Well done all of you, it would be such a boring circle if we did not have you to keep us amused.
NAM ING. A bit unusual for this hash but the virgin runner is being named today. This is the one who brings the small hashers every week. She does deserve a name and actually thinks she is going to get one that she likes!!! Many suggestions are made in relation to the fact that she has a new hip.
Marion from now on you will be known in hash circles as
HIPPIE DRAGON
Welcome enjoy your new name, if you can remember it!!!
Next up our venerable Ass holiness has done 300 runs on Koh Samui. For this he is given a special Polo shirt, no crappy t-shirt for our GM , only the best. Thank you Habadash.
He is also supposed to drink a yard of ale,(well it might be half a yard) but one of the less dedicated hashers has buggered off home with the thing in his car!!!!!
Red mullet is also calling lots of other people in to keep the GM company, what did they do, who knows, ask Red Mullet, you know how paranoid he is!!
Announcements: next hash, next week, hare Strolling bones. Thong Krut area. Will be posted on the web site.
Food at the Red Fox.
PS You may have noticed there was no one on the ice this week. This is due to the fact that everyone is soaking wet, cold, kind of miserable and we are standing in puddles anyway. Also we have a very sweet GM.
ON ON
PPS Later on at the Red Fox, the reprobate No name Bob appears with yard (half) and presents it to the GM. He ACTUALLY complains that he has had soooo much beer already but in true hash style accepts it. It then gets passed round until Jack Lemon finishes it.
