COMMITTEE MEETING
THURSDAY 26 FEBRUARY 2010
PRESENT: Blue Lugs, Corkscrew, Dipstick, Wibbly wobbly, Wallace, Grommet, Bagpipes, Bogtrotter, No name bob.
Blue Lugs opened the meeting
Corkscrew gave a report on the finances after the AGPU.
Finances post AGPU now stand at 66,000 Baht. The event cost approximately 1,000 baht per person. The maximum anyone had to pay was 500 Baht, therefore one timers were subsidised by the hash funds. It was therefore proposed that for the next AGPU the costs be changed to:
1 – 5 runs 1,000 Baht
6 - 12 runs 500 Baht
12 – 22 runs 250 Baht
Over that free
This is simply a proposal at this time and final numbers/figures can be adjusted should there be any further suggestions.
NAMING
It is difficult to keep track on the number of runs for each individual has made when they do not have a Hash name. It was agreed that if they are staying on the island they should be named after 3 or 4 hashes.
We will also make up a small questionnaire for new hashers asking for some simple information including email address. This will make it easier to keep track of people, be able to contact them and give some information which may help naming them.
REGISTRATION FEE
This was changed some time ago and since there has been no negative feed back it was agreed to leave it as is.
HASH SIGNS
These seem to disappear quite a lot from now on the Hare of the day and the hare for the following week will be responsible for keeping track of the signs. If there is a storage problem they can be left at the Red Fox.
Habadash will bring the paper to the hash for the next week’s hare.
PROPOSAL
No name bob proposed a hash weekend in Koh Phanang, with the hash covering all of the costs.
There was a lot of discussion on this and many differing views were brought forward. Many of the Samui Hashers would not be able to make it, the hash cannot really afford to pay all costs for those wishing to go. A fairly uneven distribution of the funds. Perhaps a mid year special BBQ would be more suitable.
No clear decision was made.
BIG RUN
Koh Samui HHH will have its 400th run this year on 28th August. This has to be celebrated. We have to invite other hashers. We will make contact with as many Hashes as possible and invite them over for a Friday night and Saturday hash bash.
Any ideas for the organising of this weekend please come forward. Habadash would also appreciate some input for the t-shirt design.
Habadash also want rid of some of the older t-shirts, will sell them off a bit cheaper, check it out you lot you may get a bargain.
