UNNECESSARY COMMITTEE MEETING
THURSDAY 21 JANUARY 2010
PRESENT: Feral flaps, Red Mullet, Blue Lugs, Gary Glitter, I'm cumin, Corkscrew, Dipstick, Wibbly wobbly, Wallace, Grommet, Bagpipes, Froggy.
Feral Flaps opened the meeting
AGPU
There is some concern on the numbers and whether the chosen venue can cope with an increase to a possible 70.
Call was made to the venue and it was confirmed this number would be possible and could we give as much notice as possible for them to prepare properly.
French letter has approached the GM with the suggestion of a Live Band, she has four friends who form a band and are prepared to play for us for food. Their style of music appears to be Cajun.
This was welcomed by all present. Venue says there is space, however need to check if the band has the necessary equipment with them. GM will follow up on this.

HABADASH
Big Roid donated over 40 t-shirts to the Habadashers for sale to up the funds. Should he be given a free ticket to the AGPU. Unanimous yes. Also a thank you to Big Roid.
Price for sale was agreed at 100 to 150 Baht, depending on circumstances and numbers purchased.
Since the numbers are constantly increasing Habadash need a number for the t-shirt order. It was agreed, 100, any excess can be sold at future hashes.
Some discussion as to what should be on the back of the t-shirts. Finally settled on:
AGPU
2010
Champagne Hash
spelling of champagne can be altered slightly, depends on Habadash.
With of course the island map and KSH3 on the map.
Stocks of other t-shirts at a good level, Habadash is on top of it.
Also lots of caps for sale @ Baht 250, can order with hash name, extra cost.
HASH CASH
The coffers are looking fairly healthy, current balance 113,000 Baht. Wait until after AGPU to see how much remains.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE AGPU PRICE
Over 20 hashes totally free and no registration fee.
Over 10 less that 20 cost 250 Baht
Less than 10 or non hashers/visitors 500 Baht.
Once again PLEASE register with Corkscrew either via email or at the hash if you intend to come. We need numbers for the food and booze. Over ordering food, which we have to pay for, will lead to less cash available, under ordering will lead to HUNGER.
We know we are repeating ourselves but no one has responded to the past requests.

Anything else has to be purchased at the venue bar, they have very reasonable prices.
No one can bring their own booze.
NO DOGS ALLOWED AT AGPU

Does the GM have an agenda for the AGPU. He might have but he is not telling, just wait.
Do was have the stocks, block ice and tomatoes.
Blocks are with Corky who will also supply the tomatoes. Red Mullet will make sure the ice is there.
Punishment for those who refuse to sit on the ice. Wallace volunteered to do it for Grommet. You can try and convince him to do it for you. Alternative punishment is being worked on, any ideas let us know.
Dodo and Gromet volunteered to do Hareline and run stats. Corky pointed out that his writing is so bad no one else would be able to read it. He scribbles a lot of c…!!
After a bit of discussion it was agreed to leave things as they are. Many thanks for the offer Gromet.
Corky had to add that the stats not being published was the fault of Red Mullet, things will improve in future.
Pewter mugs are ready. T-shirts are ready.
RAFFLE
To stop things becoming boring it was decided a total of 10 raffle prizes would be enough.
One ticket will be give on registration additional tickets can be bought from Wibs or Bagpipes on the day. 50 baht per ticket.
Prizes so far are:
Two night stay for two at Mercure Gary Glitter
Sunday roast for two at Red Fox (only available on a Sunday) Blue lugs
One day sailing for two. Red Mullet
Round of golf at Lamai course for two.
Wibs and Bagpipes are trying to find more prizes, if anyone has something they would like to donate contact them. NO CRAP LEFT OVER FROM
CHRISTMAS THANK YOU.
WOODSMAN NEEDED
Till now Dodo has been taking care of the BBQ, since she is not on every hash it can be a bit inconvenient.
Anyone willing to take over the job? Come on you guys, there must be some, macho male desperate to show his abilities on the BBQ, we know it is a man thing! If storage is a problem corkscrew has space for storing it.
NOSH
As we all know Blue lugs has been supplying the nosh after the Hash. Numbers are increasing and it is becoming a rather large expense for him.
It was suggested, motioned and seconded that he should be compensated when numbers are up. This will be done on a week to week basis between him and Hash cash. Thanks Blue Lugs, always good nosh.
The Unnecessary Committee Meeting closed after answering and solving a lot of potential problems and tying up some details which had not yet been clarified.
The GM then sneaked back to his secret hiding place.
Thank you Feral, our honourable leader, for doing such a great job in the past year, you will get all you deserve at the AGPU, we promise!!!
