Koh Samui Hash House Harriers
Committee meeting 21st June 2011
Present: Blue lugs, Red Mullet, No 27, Strollin bones, Bagpipes, Wally wood, Wibbly wobbly, Dipstick, I'm cumin, Zsa zsa, Jack Lemon, Slippery when wet, Naughty when wet, No name bob, Corkscrew.
Apologies: Wallace, Gromit
GM opened the meeting, roughly on time. Both the GM and the Assistant GM will be away for the next five weeks and a stand in is required. Now don't all jump in here!! Slippery has actually volunteered to be the GM at the next hash. After that he is off to sunnier climes. Last year's GM, Blue lugs, will then take over until the incumbents return to their post.
As the GM is off on his travels so to is Wibbly wobbly leaving the Habadash in the capable hands of Wallace and Gromit, thank you guys.
The hare line has a few gaps that need filling. After a bit of discussion we have filled the immediate gaps. No name bob, Slim aka Corkscrew, Wally wood and Red Mullet have very kindly volunteered their services.
Next point of discussion is the cost of registration for Pooying, well Thai pooying. It was agreed sometime ago that those with Farang boyfriends/husbands should pay the same as everyone else, Thai pooying attending on their own would pay 20 Baht.
After much discussion and several votes, this was necessary as a load of people were not paying attention and the whole thing had to be explained over again, the motion was carried.
That being that ALL Thai pooying will in future pay 20 Baht for registration.
Any other business
The web page is not always up to date.Bagpipes will contact Mark and ask if she can help out, knowing that he is very busy at the present time.
Run stats were requested. The scribe forgot to print them off for this meeting but will have them at the hash on Saturday and a copy will be given to Habadash.
We are still looking at local magazines and newspapers to advertise the hash on Samui, free of charge of course.
Hash magazine. Can we subscribe to this publication again. The magazine comes out quarterly and they send several copies to the Red Fox. This is well read and a good way of recruiting more hashers.
It was agreed to reinstate our subscription.
It was also suggested that we can put the Hash on face book. No vote was taken, it was simply a suggestion.
SIGNS once again we are loosing the hash signs. As stated many meetings ago, the hare for the next hash is responsible for picking up the signs on the way out from the hash site. If they are not at the hash that week, they have to nominate someone to pick up the signs for them.
Meeting closed for social drinking.
