Koh Samui Hash House Harriers
Committee meeting 13 July 2010
Present: Blue lugs, Strolling Bones, Comic strip, Bagpipes, Bogtrotter, W C Fields, Beata, I’m cummin, Wallace, Gromit, Wibbly wobbly, Dipstick, Corkscrew, Red Mullet, Zsa Zsa, Jack Lemon, No Name Bob.
Finance; the hash cash is now at 107,400 Baht, well it was at the beginning of the meeting then Blue lugs and Hahadash asked for money, but coffers are still healthy.
400 run. Final design for the polo shirt has been agreed and is at the printers.
There follows much discussion on t-shirts, costs etc. There is enough cash to cover the cost of two shirts, a t-shirt for the Friday night run and the Polo shirt for the Saturday run. Comments on this included the hash cash is not only for us but for the hash and inviting other hashes along is part of the hash.
Finally agreed that there will be a t-shirt for the Friday night run. Next discussion is on the design and wording on the shirt.
Habadash now have the final design and will go ahead and get 100 printed.
Venues for the 400 run.
Friday night run will be an A to B run, ending at the Mercure in Maenam with Gary Glitter putting on some finger food.
Saturday run being laid by Corkscrew and will end with a BBQ at the Red Fox.
For both runs free piss until the end of the circle and free food at both venues. But piss has to be paid for by the individuals at the venue. Will talk to Gary Glitter about the price of the piss at the Friday night venue.
Friday night run will start at 18.00.
The hash and the 400 run should be advertised locally as well as on the world web. Scribe will pass the info to Gromit for advertising in Samui Holiday magazine.
Will make posters to put up in schools etc round the island. Will also contact the Bangkok Post asap.
Anyone who knows of old Samui hashers should get in touch with them and invite them to the bash.
The cost to individuals was discussed and agreed at the Committee meeting held in May. Thais was, Koh Samui hashers will pay on a sliding scale on the number of runs since the last AGPU.
Proposed scale: 18 runs Free
9 – 17 runs half price
Less than 9 full price
Everything for the 400 run appears, at this point, to have been covered.
VIRGIN HARES
There have been a couple of not so good runs. It was agreed that any virgin hare must have an experienced hare with them, at least for a final walk/run through. They will not tell them where to set the run but will check that it is appropriately marked etc.
Slippery when wet, needs reeducated, he was first instructed by Crive, bad example!!!
Question, when is the next off island run. Wait until after the 400th before we decide on that.
No more business.
