Koh Samui Hash House Harriers
Committee meeting 25 May 2010
Present: Blue lugs, Wibbly wobbly, Dipstick, Slim, Corkscrew, Slippery when wet, Bagpipes, Bogtrotter, No name bob, Gromit, Wallace, Crive
Financial report was given by Corkscrew.
There is currently 89,340 Baht it the kitty. He kept it short and sweet!!
Some clarification on the T-shirt issue was needed after the last meeting.
It was agreed the theme on the 400th run shirt will be a Tiger, for the year of the Tiger.
Our generic T-shirt will be the bull since the first Koh Samui run was in the year of the Bull.
Habadash have been asking for some time for help, ideas, input in the design of T-shirts, especially the two we are currently discussing i.e. the 400 run and the generic.
There has been little or no response to this request. It was suggested that Red Mullet, Habadash and Blue Lugs sit down and finalise a design for the 400 run shirt. This will then go to the printer for a price, delivery time etc.
It was also agreed that the background colour be dark blue with the orange and black tiger design. Further details will be left to the design group.
The generic t-shirt will remain that of the Bull, monkey, coconut.
It was suggested we go to Tiger and ask them for sponsorship since the main beer of the Hash is Tiger and this is the year of the Tiger. Crive will try and find a contact for Tiger Beer on the island.
If any of the Hashers know of such a contact please inform Crive, Bagpipes or Corkscrew.
Cost of 400 run
Having looked at the cost of producing the t-shirts it was agreed, in order to keep the price reasonable, there will only be one t-shirt and that is the 400th. This will keep the cost of the weekend to 500 Baht per person. This will include, basic hash food and piss at the hash site on the Friday evening. Free shirt, BBQ and hash piss, at the BBQ site, on the Saturday.
Koh Samui hashers will pay on a sliding scale on the number of runs since the last AGPU.

Advertising the 400 run
We will try and get an advertisement in the Harrier Magazine and local publications.
We will contact the interhash website to place an announcement. Contact all the local hashes in Asia.
In anyone has a contact for any hash please give it to Bagpipes.
Fifty run shirts. Up until now we have awarded a fifty run shirt to hashers who have made it that far. However it was decided some time ago that since the Hash has gone weekly this would no longer be the case. On saying that, all those who have been promised a 50 run shirt will receive one. Any left over shirts will be awarded as and when a 50 run comes up until the stock is depleted.
Future awards will be as follows:
100 runs T-shirt
200 runs Tankard
300 runs To be agreed sometime soon
There were some suggestions for 300 runs; a t-shirt and a tankard, free life membership i.e. no more weekly fees, own down down cup, zimmer frame!!
Any more suggestions/ideas welcome. We do have a 300 runner coming soon, so do not delay if you have any good ideas.
Proposal for website
It has been suggested that we have a page on the website to advertise things between the hashers.
Or an interactive page with all member email addresses that we can access and send emails to with response coming back to the one who sent it, not the webmaster.

Hareline. Once again can we ask you guys to try and balance out a bit where the Hashs will be. Dodo has a hard enough job getting you all to volunteer, can you check the hareline and try and swap around to spread the runs over the island a bit more. Thank you.
BBQs
When the runs are in the north of the island we could have a simple hash BBQ. It was also suggested that we do a BBQ every 4 to 6 weeks. This was agreed BUT must have the approval of the Hash Master and costs have to be kept within the set budget.
Also a final Thank you to Blue Lugs for providing a wide variety of food after the hash.
